Karen thinks of yoga as a public service.
“Yoga has made me a better person, and in that way it’s for everyone in my life. I've always been into physical activities - from dance to martial arts - but practicing yoga has opened up a spiritual and mental component other things never did.”
Outside of the studio, Karen has seen the effects of her practice on almost all aspects of her life.
“It’s given me more confidence in who I am as a person and allowed me to be content with where I’m at at any given moment, which is a shift from who I was before I began practicing yoga. It’s also allowed me to feel more present and at ease with how I look and feel, and am able to stay calm and more focused as I move through my life.”
