Mindful Kids: is a unique class created by SoulPlay Owner, Brooke Campanelli that incorporates Mindfulness lessons with engaging activities, games, arts & crafts, meditation, and yoga that help embody the life skills being taught. Mindfulness lessons help kids with emotional regulation, focus, anxiety, compassion, empathy, self-awareness, and impulse control. Brooke's focus is on helping connect the body & mind and on making Mindfulness relevant, tangible, and fun for kids of all ages.
Mindful Kids LA Summer Camp 2024
Mindful Kids Summer Camp at Soul Play Yoga is a spin-off of the popular "Mindful Kids" after-school enrichment programs in Los Angeles.
The camp combines Mindfulness lessons, games, yoga, arts & crafts, outdoor play, field trips, and interactive group activities into a week of fun and adventure!
Let your kids experience a different kind of summer camp! Do they love field games, slime, scavenger hunts, art, crafts, and being spontaneous? So do we! Mindful Kids LA Summer Camp, exposes kids ages 5-12 to the lifelong benefits of mindfulness, and yoga in a week-long summer camp format. We have an 8:1 child/teacher ratio and 6:1 on field trip days.
We believe that camp teachers should be present, kind and let children be seen & heard. So we provide teachers that are experienced in Mindfulness lessons that help kids with emotional regulation, focus, concentration, empathy, self-awareness and impulse control. We weave lessons throughout our day of fun such as gratitude and compassion so children learn valuable life lessons. In addition, kids will also benefit from engaging activities, Yoga classes with certified instructors, take-home crafts, games, professional art/ dance/ cooking lessons, movies, outdoor excursions, water play, one field trip per week and more!
In past years we have surprised the kids with snow cone trucks, ice cream outings and Eco-Station Exotic animals field trips!.So you never know what surprises await the kids this Summer!
Kids should bring: lunch, snacks, a water bottle & wear Sunscreen each Day.
